We were also provided the video we had to use. This clip was from the movie 'Soul' and this clip had no sound, the sound was to be added later by us in week 3.

Week 3: Premiere pro editing
Next, we had to export all the downloaded sound effects and the audio dubbing into premier pro and start editing. We were given a template to follow were A1- A2 was for Dialogue, A3-A4 was for Sound Effects, and A5-A6 was for Ambient sounds.

The first thing I did was match all the dialogues with the mouth movements of the characters. The cat was easier than the man as the cat was mostly facing the other way. Once I was happy with that I started adding in the sound effects and lastly, I added the ambiance. I had to change the ambiance sound a couple of times as I didn't feel it went with the clip. Before exporting I listen to it one more time and adjusted all the sounds, some sounds I made lower the other I increased.

Since I was having a bit of fun with this exercise I decided to try one with music added, this was solely to practice and see how adding music can change the ambiance of the clip.

Week 13: Final Edit
This week I did the final editing for the audio dubbing. I first change the voice to be much deeper for the man and much higher for the cat. Then I added background music and added the footsteps that Mr. Martin had asked me to add.

Feedback
Week 4 (Soul clip audio dubbing): Everything looks just add the footsteps sound when the little girl and the dad are walking.
Reflection
This project one exercise was a lot of fun; I was hesitant at first to record my voice and include it in the video, but it turned out to be fine. It was a little embarrassing making the cat noises, but I think I did a pretty good cat meow. Changing my voice to sound like a man was pretty funny because it did kinda sound like my brother. I was able to find good background music which I felt tied in the whole video. The observation was crucial in this exercise; I had to remain attentive and replay the clip several times to ensure the voice was matched correctly. Since each object or individual makes a different sound, I had to concentrate on the sound effect. I couldn't add the same laughing sound for both the little girl and the woman talking. I had and listened to see which sounds complimented which character. Finding a good ambiance sound was the most difficult part because there were so many choices, and I was trying to figure out which one best suited the atmosphere the clip was trying to create. As a result, I had to make a lot of trial and error. Overall I got to learn a lot from this project and was very happy with the result.
