Final Project
Week 12:
For the final project, I ended up sculpting a new face because I wasn't really satisfied with the one I had previously. With this new face, I added the expression I had finalized in character design.
Then using the new face I block out my first pose, I had to move around the clothes and the body shape to fit the pose I was going for.
After showing Mr. Kannan my final character pose I was advised to change the pose a bit because the current one was not the best. So I thought I could do a pose with the character holding a lantern as I had initially designed a staff that would have a detachable lantern to it, so instead of having the lantern stuck to the staff, she is holding it instead.

Once I had the pose blocked out I started detailing, I also created a new hair to make it look like it's flowing and to complement the face better. Again using alpha I detail all the clothes and shoes.

Once finished with the pose I started working on the staff my initial design was as shown in Fig.1.5 but after showing it to Mr. Kannan he suggested I do more research to make the staff look more interesting so I redesigned it.
I added the staff to the final pose and started coloring the final character.

Feedback
[Week 14]:
- Tilt the head the other way. The backhand looks a bit weird so make it come out a bit and lower to touch the hip.
- Find references such as Genshin impact, League of legend for the pose and change the other hand.
- Make weapon bigger
[Week 15]:
- Upgrade your background currently its a bit too simple
Reflection
It was another challenging module, but I'm glad I did it because I learned so much from it. Zbrush was and still is very intimidating due to its sheer number of functions, but watching all of Mr. Kannan's lectures and an abundance of YouTube videos made it less frightening. Because I am more accustomed to working in 2D, sculpting in 3D was difficult because you have to consider how moving something will affect the other perspective. It was especially difficult to convert my 2D pose to 3D because I didn't draw a character turnaround and imagined the body placement. Although looking at references was beneficial, I still believe many aspects could be improved.
I ended up changing the character's face and hair at the last minute; while this increased my workload slightly, I am glad I did it because, at least to me, it improved the character's appearance. Overall, I'm pleased with my final product because I honestly didn't think I'd get this far. This module was extremely educational, and I believe it improved my understanding of anatomy.
