Week 9:

After finalizing my character block out I started with the character's face and hair. For the hair of the character I went with a braid hairstyle, it was a bit challenging to do as I needed the hair to look like they were twisting.

Using the extract tool I started making the costume of the character but this ended up making the character look a bit fats, so I had to slim down parts of the body and lower the weight of the extract to make the character look like the original body size.

Week 10:

As we developed a new outfit for character design I decided to use this outfit for the final character outfit as I felt this would look more interesting and allow me to display my pose better at a later stage.

For the detailing of the dress and belt, I took the patterns I had made for my character design and converted them into a black and white image. From there I imported the image as alpha and just stamp it on the areas I wanted it. This was much easier than having to carve out each detail individually.

Feedback

[Week 11]:
  • The clothes are too straight have it follow the shape of the body structure.
  • The top part needs to fold IP and it drapes down.
  • Looka t more weapon designs. See what parts can overlap, how you can attach the parts, combine different materials wood carving, etc.
  • push the shoe a bit backward, the skirt lifts up just a bit to give it a curve. Soften the chest line.
  • The hair is bulging a bit too much.
